7. Data protection information on the use of cookies

Cookies facilitate user interactions and other expedient things when you use websites. Cookies do not damage your computer or contain viruses.

Cookies are used to enable certain functions when visiting a website. Cookies are small text files that your browser stores in your device when instructed to do so by a website.

When a user visits a website, a cookie may be saved on his or her device. This cookie contains a characteristic character string which allows the browser to be clearly identified when the website is visited again.

7.1 Description and scope of data processing
On the one hand we use temporary cookies which are deleted automatically when you close your browser, and on the other so-called “persistent” (permanent) cookies, the expiry of which is set for a date in the future for your convenience. Cookies may be provided by us or by third-party providers. The data collected from users in this way is pseudonymised. Therefore, assignment of the data to the requesting user is no longer possible. The data is not stored together with users’ other personal data. It is important to distinguish between essential (technically necessary) cookies, which are necessary for the operation of the website, and cookies that require consent, e.g. for statistics and marketing. We currently use technically necessary, preference and statistics cookies on our website. Technically necessary cookies enable basic functions such as page navigation, access to secure areas of the website and the necessary storage of the consent status for the use of cookies requiring consent. Here, no consent is required on the part of the visitor. The website cannot function as intended without these cookies.

We use the following technical cookies on our website:

Name: pll_language / Provider: onepager.com / Purpose: save the country selection / Expiration: 13 months / data sent to: Germany

7.2 Legal basis for data processing
The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technically necessary and preference cookies is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) or Art. 6(1)(c) (compliance with legal obligations). The legal basis for the use of statistics cookies is Art. 6(1)(a) (consent) in conjunction with. §25 TTDSG.

7.3 Purpose of data processing
The purpose of using technically necessary cookies is to enable the use of websites for users by providing certain functions. For example, it is necessary that the browser is recognized even after a page change and that the consent management service retains the settings made by the visitor regarding consent to the use of statistics cookies. The use of the preference cookie is for the purpose of showing you personalized content (country selection). In the aforementioned purposes, our legitimate interest lies in the processing of personal data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the use of cookies that do not require consent. The use of cookies for statistical purposes serves us to analyse how our website is used in order to continuously optimize our offer.

7.4 Duration of storage
Cookies are stored on the user’s computer, and transmitted from it to our website. “Session cookies” are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until a storage period, which may vary, has expired (see 7.1) or until you delete them.

7.5 Right to object and right to rectification
You, as the user have full control over the use of cookies.
